Season 2007-08

A difficult season again for Malmesbury RFC after gaining promotion into Dorset & Wilts North division 2 for the 2007-08 season. Again losing a few players and not being able to maintaining a regular squad meant that at times unable to compete against the quality of some well drilled opposition teams. However, with a couple of wins under our belts and the arrival of a few new faces during the latter part of the season we hope to pick it up again for next season.

Season 2006-07

After a disappointing end to the 2005-06 season, Malmesbury RFC were nearly at breaking point with limited funds and a loss of several key committee members and players. But thanks to an influx of new players in September '06 from the local Buckley Barracks at Hullavington, and a new committee eager to revive the club, we had a fantastic season in the Dorset & Wilts North Division 3, finishing second in the league.

This gained us promotion into Dorset & Wilts North division 2 for the 2007-08 season, which will be a much tougher season, but hopefully this will only spur the team forward to becoming ever better.
